Administrative History	A chapel was opened at the corner of Walker Street and Walker Place in Higher Tranmere by the Wesleyan Methodists in 1844. A new chapel was built in Church Road in 1862, and a Lecture Hall was built in Wesley Terrace in 1899. The chapel was demolished and a new one erected on the site, opening in 1966.
